For instance, the yield strength is as high as 540 N/mm (the standard specifies 500N/mm as acceptable). Mega Turbo TMT bars inherents a strong resistance towards corrosion which makes it the most suitable construction material for every engineer. While most bars are produced by cold twisting, Mega Turbo TMT bars are produced through thermo-mechanical treatment. This results in superior rust resistance characteristics compared to traditional cold twisting bars because there are no residual tensional stresses in the bar.

In a series of tests, concrete beam column joints, reinforced with Mega Turbo TMT bar, were subjected to repeated reverse loading inelastic strains. These simulation tests were conducted to evaluate their performance during an earthquake. The result showed a uniformly maintained ductility till failure due to uniform energy dissipation during each cycle.
